The castle itself is perched atop a low (20') rocky bluff for storm protection, but has a large white sandy beach below...directly accessible from steps off the driveway. The beach also has a 500' roadside masonry wall with oleander hedge that ensures privacy. All 4 of these large air-conditioned suites offer private bathrooms finished in tile, granite & glass block.
The East End of Grand Cayman Island enjoys a steady trade wind breeze (no bugs), which make it unnecessary to screen in the oceanfront spaces.
The architectural focal point of the property is the oceanfront, curvilinear infinity-edge pool, decks and a commanding 220° view over the East End Reef and the Wreck of the 10 Sails. The second floor offers a very large (1,000 sq. ft.) family room/TV Area/kitchen and private 600 sq. ft. Sun-Deck Terrace with panoramic views (see aerial photos). Heavy (coral white) casted railings (42" tall) on the terraces/decks for safety. Crimson bougainvillea in the planters make a nice contrast against the sage green stucco exterior.
The 2BR guesthouse, located 100' to the North, will match the castle in architectural style, furnishing and quality. It will have a private cliff-top heated pool and balustered terrace and landscaped pathway to the castle. A/C, laundry, kitchen, TV, Sat. (DSS), DVD, ceiling fans, etc. Unless rented with the castle, the guesthouse will have no beach access. The shoreline below the guesthouse is jagged rock "iron-shore". Guesthouse also has 3-4 overflow parking spaces for large groups/weddings.
Like the villas in Cayman Kai & Rum Point, we are about 19 miles (35 minutes) due East of the Airport.
The "Wreck of the 10 Sails" monument and the Royal Cayman Police Officer's East End residence are directly next door. The castle is within walking distance (250 yds.) of the best dive operator on the island, Ocean Frontiers as well as Vivine's Backyard (great lunch, Cayman Islands Style-150 yds.) and Arlain's Restaurant to the South (200 yds). We are 1.5 miles South of Portofino's restaurant, and 1 mile North of L'il Hurley's grocery store. The East End of the island also has restaurants at both the Morritt's Tortuga Club and Royal Reef timeshare/resort. The Lighthouse restaurant is only 10 minutes away by car.

- (4) Large Master Suites. 8 Beds total ( 2 kings, 2 queens, 1 queen sofa-bed, 1 full sofa-bed and one set of bunk-beds. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Oversized tiled/glass block showers and granite counters throughout all bathrooms. Solid wood bedroom doors and low profile ceiling fans.
- 1,500 ft ² (partially) covered 1st floor Terrace & freshwater pool and large non-skid (pavers) sun deck overlooking the ocean. Stunning heated pool offers "infinity-edge" feature. Pool alarm (www.poolguard.com) available for non-swimmers/toddlers. Safety features for pool (lifesaving pole, throw-ring, safety railings, ladder, etc.). One step off our driveway is 500' of white sand beach. Poolside outdoor shower with hot & cold water.
- Large (second floor) tiled 600 ft2 Sun Deck with teak 10 - 12 person dining table and 6 teak sun-chairs chairs facing the ocean. 42" high balusters/rail for safety.
- 25' x 50' (Semi-circular) Great Room with panoramic views over sundeck through 4 sets of double French doors. Fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, living room and TV area. Ceramic tile and granite throughout house.
- Bed linens (3 sets per bed), plenty of pillows & Bath towels provided. Beach towels provided. Two portable cribs & strap-on highchairs/boosters in storage room.
- 4-Zone Central air conditioning and ceiling fans. We are on "City Water", so we have constant water pressure and no cistern or unreliable water pump is necessary (most homes have to catch rainwater in a cistern for drinking).
- Large (stand alone) icemaker in kitchen island, (2 each) front-loading Duet Washers/Dryers, Bosch (quiet) Dishwasher, large stainless steel refrigerator & Microwave and Stainless (propane) BBQ on Sundeck. Small refrigerator under stairs on first floor for easy pool access to drinks. Teak sofas, chairs/chaises/benches on pool terrace/deck.
- Cable TV (42" Plasma) on 2nd floor, Play Station 2, (3) DVD/VCR Players, (3) CD/Stereos, board games, (25+) DVDs . Master suites on first & third floors will also have LCD Flat-screen TVs with cable
, DVD/VCRs.
- Third floor Master (Honeymoon) suite has small microwave & coffee maker, as well as private dining table/desk in the north turret, power & telephone for a work station--for those who feel the need to stay in touch with the office while admiring the view!
- Telephones (4-5 Wireless), answering machine. House will also have fulltime wireless DSL modem/router network (Linksys). Wi-Fi (802.11) enabled.
- Private dock w/ ladder.
- Optional (daily) maid service (Weekly is included on day of departure/arrival). Cooks/Nannies available for private hire. We also put you in touch with a concierge service for pre-stocking the house if desired.

- Air-conditioning, ceiling fans and a (front) screened porch. Colorful Caribbean-style furniture and tiled floors throughout. Teak table and 4 chairs on tiled screen porch.
- King bed suite and Queen suite with 2 (twin) bunk beds. Each suite has a private bathroom with tiled shower and plenty of towels. 2 love seats and writing desk in great room, teak Adirondack chairs and coffee table on deck.
- Guesthouse pool and oceanfront deck face due East, while Castle's pool/decks face due South; providing sunbathing privacy for guests of both residences.
- French doors, screened transoms and open architecture allow the trade-winds to cool the house on days when air-conditioning isn't a necessity, but maintain security.
- Guesthouse is perched 20 feet above sea level (and 150'+ from road) which enhances both privacy and the view of the ocean.
- 2 phones, washer/dryer, TV, DVD & stereo, full kitchen with refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher & full compliment of pots/pans/cutlery/etc..
- Bath Towels, Pool towels and all linens provided.
