Equestrian Centre

Ride through Half Moon`s Nature Reserve or along bridle paths that wind through the cool hills and valleys and enjoy the countryside.

Equestrians of all levels can enjoy a variety of activities from riding lessons to adventurous trail rides, beach rides and jungle jaunts.

Please plan on wearing long pants and walking shoes or sneakers. Riding helmets, available at the Centre, are also recommended.

Facilities
Half Moon`s Equestrian Centre, operated by one of Jamaica`s most celebrated equestrians, Trina deLisser, offers 28 carefully selected and groomed mounts, experienced trail masters, a Polo Arena and Jumping Arena.

Beach Rides
Equestrians of all levels will enjoy riding along the beach and cooling off in the sea with this ride.

Pony Rides
Pony rides around the Stable Yard are available for children under six years.

Jungle Jaunt
If you haven`t ridden before, or if it has been awhile, this is the ride for you. Start with a lesson in the Arena, then a short trek around the property.

Mountain Rides
Approximately one and one-half hours long, this ride takes guests through the Jamaica`s beautiful blue mountains

Arena Polo
Play an exciting game of arena polo.  Arena polo is played on a fenced in field with fewer players and horses.

Tryall Trail
Catch spectacular views of the coastline as you wind along bridle paths through the countryside and the old Rose Hall Estate.

Lessons
The Equestrian Centre provides horses and instruction for all levels of riders. Lessons in Basic Dressage, Show Jumping and Polo are also available upon request.
