Central Area Castle Tropicale, Costa Rica:
Ten bedroom private villa! Can be rented as a 7 bedroom villa or a 10 bedroom rental.
A Chef is included in the rental, you just pay the cost of food. 4 other staff included.

Surrounded by Costa Rica's beautiful countryside, this secluded mountaintop estate with 7 or 10 bedrooms, a pool and a jacuzzi overlooks the blue Pacific and the Gulf of Nicoya as a backdrop for Costa Rica's fabled sunsets. Approximately 70 minutes from Manuel Antonio and 70 minutes from San Jose.
A 10 minute drive on the Pan American highway takes you through costal forest and farms to the beach, shopping, hotels, casinos, restaurants, yacht club, country club (with golf course), and an English-speaking private school.
Built for the countess of Baillet-Latour. The elegant residential compound has over 43,000 sq. ft. (4,000 sq. meters) of construction.
The four-acre property is enclosed by a security wall, and includes:
Central Area: Manor House
Built in 1980 by a German architect and German builder, the Manor House stretches over more than 12,000 sq. feet. Features include screened Cathedral windows with European brass latches, arched doorways and windows, and interior doors of solid Cristobal wood, hand carved on both sides. All bathrooms are marble or custom imported tile, with European brass and gold fixtures. The hall is also marble and, like the rooms, features recessed lighting. The Manor House is architecturally designed to withstand earthquakes.
The marble entry is circular area, leading into
expansive, open cocktail seating areas that flow toward double winding
staircases to the library, bar and pool room. Another wide central
staircase leads downward to the massive living room. The beautiful
3,100 sq. ft. living room has a herringbone Cristobal wood floor
below, echoing the Cristobal wood cupola three stories overhead. There
is a two-room guest bath with marble floors.
Left Wing
Two bedrooms with large built in closets also feature parquet wood floors, large arched windows and baths with full tubs. In addition to a large game room, the Left Wing includes a TV screening room with wood floors and decorative wrought iron arches. The second Master Suite is also in this wing, with a large sitting room, tall Cathedral windows and high ceiling, as well as a large bedroom with full bath including tub and bidet.
Right Wing
The Right Wing features a large dining room
with wood floors and impressive entry arches in decorative wrought iron. The 2,621 sq. ft. Master Suite includes exceptional hand carved entry doors, open hallway with built-in cabinetry, sitting room with multiple arched entries, and bedroom with wood floors. The 1,100 sq. ft. European tiled bath offers a large dressing room, with one wall of built-in cabinets, and a separate room with shower, toilet and bidet. The circular sunken pool tub has gold fixtures.
Kitchen
The Manor House kitchen is fully equipped, and includes a breakfast room, pantry with wine racks and large food storage area. It has a tiled floor, an island in the center, lots of cabinets and windows, stove, large commercial ice maker, two refrigerators, and a freezer.

Central Area: Guest House
The 2,700 sq. ft. Guest House surrounds an interior courtyard with a fountain. The three bedrooms each have inlayed parquet floors, built-in Cristobal cabinets, arched windows with drapes and screens, and bath with shower, toilet and bidet. The Guest House also has a separate two-car garage with storage area, wood ceiling and parking area in front.
Central Area"La Torreta"
This three-story Tower Studio includes a highly decorative circular staircase and railings. The first floor includes a seating area, Private indoor Jacuzzi for 8 people, pump room, bath with separate shower and toilet rooms, and an exercise room. The second level has an entertaining balcony and sewing room, while the third level is an artist's studio with exterior walkway.
Central AreaService House
Employees will live in this very large workers' compound consisting of three separate bedrooms, three baths, kitchen and living/dining room. A large private central courtyard connects to the laundry. All windows and doors are arched.
Central AreaExterior
Huge open, covered balustrade patios overlook surrounding mountains and the Pacific ocean, running in front of each wing and on both floors of the central area. Steps, walks and patio floors are made of travertine. An extraordinary free-form Olympic sized pool includes an integrated bar and dressing rooms, while the 1,089 sq. ft. Barbeque House has a kitchen, dining/dancing area, BBQ fireplace and wine cellar downstairs. A separate house includes stalls with sinks, toilet and shower for changing clothes. The property includes, two deep, private wells, mature flowering and fruit trees, many varieties of palms and tropical flora and fauna.
