The sounds of wildlife, open-air tropical living and unforgettable views have all been captured in one special place.
Completed in June 2005, this luxurious
Costa Rican home is situated on a small point
on the southern Pacific coast and offers two
air-conditioned master suites, 2 1/2 baths,
a fully tiled infinity-edge pool and many of the
amenities and comforts of home. Adding to the
specialness of this home is the use of exotic
hardwoods in the ceilings, doors, and cabinetry.
Located in Costa Rica's Maritime Zone (within 200 meters of the shore), Infinity is one of the few homes in the area that is on the ocean side of the main coastal road, thus combining phenomenal whitewater beach and coastal scenery with convenient access all year long.
The infinity-edge pool is within steps of the house, blending in to the unforgettable coastline that features palm-tree studded beaches that go on for miles, rocky points with crashing waves and the popular Uvita "Whale's Tail", a unique place to walk and explore. The living and dining rooms literally have no walls; therefore, it is truly a relationship with the sounds of the ocean and the wildlife: monkeys, toucans and a wide variety of other birds.
The large kitchen has been designed to accommodate both the enthusiastic and
less adventurous cook, provide casual and comfortable dining for four and is fantastic
for entertaining. The "formal" dining room (as formal as you can get without walls) accommodates six persons. There is a half bath downstairs as well as a laundry room with washer and dryer.
Each of the two master suites located upstairs has a
queen bed, individually controled air conditioners, and
breathtaking views from every window. One of the
bedrooms includes a double-size futon sofa for additional
guests or children. Private bathrooms feature Columbian
limestone showers and an openness that continues to let
the outdoors in while providing all the privacy needed.
(It is not unusual to have toucans or monkeys just a few
feet away while you are in the shower.) One of the suites
has access to the extensive terrace that is perfect for wildlife viewing, watching the changes in the tides or for stargazing.
