Surrounding:
Cousine Island has a beautiful unspoiled beach a kilometer long, separating the warm turquoise water of the Indian Ocean from the lush tropical vegetation. The island is a private nature reserve and is home to five of the Seychelles endemic bird species, one being the Seychelles Magpie Robin, with a population of only 70 birds left in the world, 12 being on the island. This island is a conservation success story where the rehabilitation of a rare and different species is at the forefront of the activities of the island. The island is not for those seeking nightlife and organized activities. There are only 8 guests at any time on Cousine.
Accommodation:
Accommodation consists of four large (175 qm ) air-conditioned Villas built in the Old French Colonial style, nestling amongst natural vegetation, just thirty meters from a pristine beach. Each Villa is positioned to ensure maximum privacy. The Villa provides luxurious comfort with front and rear patios, a spacious bedroom, dressing room, separate lounge, large bathroom with Jacuzzi, his and her shower. Each Villa is equipped with a refrigerator, ice machine, tea and coffee making facilities, satellite TV, video, CD/Cassette player, telephone, personal safe and hair dryer. All the Villas enjoy some of the best sea views in the Seychelles.
Dining:
The food is essentially local. There are a variety of various meals offered and it is served in healthy portions. As the sun begins to rise and the bird population begins their day, you are greeted with the smell of freshly brewed coffee. A breakfast of your choice is served. A Continental or English breakfast is offered with a wonderful choice of fresh fruit. Lunch is served at your convenience and at whatever time is suitable to you. You have the choice from our menu or if you desire something lighter, just mention to the chef or manager and if available we will accommodate your requests. Dinner is an event to look forward to. Dining in the main pavilion, you are treated to a four course menu or, if dining in your villa in total privacy is what you wish, this can be arranged if you notify the manager at lunch. At your request dinner on the beach is a romantic option.

Activities & daytrips:
Spend your days lazing on an exquisite white beach surrounded by striking granite outcrops or observing the fauna and flora in their natural surroundings. Also provided at an additional cost are the services of excusion tours to the neighbouring islands, diving and guided conservation walks to experience the Magpie Robin and other endagered species first hand. Fishing charters, diving excursions, boat excursions to Cousin and excursions to Valle de Mai can be arranged on request. There is a golf course available at Lemuria on Praslin and guests can be transferred by helicopter or boat.
Bird watching: Cousine Island has a variety of Seychelles endemic birds, including the Seychelles Magpie Robin currently considered a critically endangered species.
Walks: Various paths around the island and into the forest and hill areas are outlaid on the island map in each villa. Guided walks with the Island Ecologists are available but walks can also be
enjoyed alone.
Conservation programs: Guests are encouraged to take part in the
various conservation programs and activities that are running on the
island e.g.:
- Tree planting
- Turtle monitoring
- Ringing and feeding of Magpie Robins
Snorkelling: Guided snorkelling is available, equipment is
complimentary from the office and guests can also explore on their
own.
Swimming pool: Located at The Pavillion, the pool is filled with
freshwater.
Library: The library has a selection of reference books as well as
novels, DVD’s, Videos and CD’s. The library is open for guests to
use at any time during the day.
Organised water sports: Diving and fishing can be arranged on
request
Excursions: Excursions by boat to other islands are available and
can be arranged on request.
Internet: Broadband internet access is currently available in the
library and will soon be available in the villas.
Spa: Ligne St Barth Spa treatments are offered in the newly
opened Beach House Wellness Retreat.
The gym is located in the Beach House and guests may use
this facility complimentary.
