The Villa Sardinia 20 is set just slightly above the beach for added privacy. There is sand, sea, a curving coastline and a mountainous backdrop, along with crystal clear water that is and seductively warm. The villa is an achievement of ingenuity and fantasy. Almost every suite has a name that reveals its theme. There is even a terrace set above the sandy beach for dancing under the stars. The staff can help you hire local musicians for a nightly performance. From inside the main swimming pool, you no longer see the beach, only the sea. A smaller shallow pool suitable for children, it has a jet stream and a cascade into the main pool. Under the swaying palm trees, almost everything can be arranged. Cooks, maids, bands, boats with/without a crew, by-cycles, tennis, mountain hikes, golf, cultural tours. Even dinner amongst shepherds in the mountains...
Villa Sardinia 20's excesses are fun, comfortable and reasonably priced. Most rooms or suites are air-conditioned or heated. Main living area: from covered terrace into the main living room facing the sea, fireplace made from three massive stones, sofas and chairs, Selected multi-channel English and international satellite TV, DVD player and stereo music set. The dining area seats eight people and the two long solid mahogany tables, on the covered terrace, seat 24 people. The bar has a large clam shell sink and seats four people. The kitchen is with stove top, ovens, fridge and ice-maker, dishwasher and microwave and indoor grill.
Main villa-from the living room: the blue moon room with sea views, dressing area, queen size bed, en-suite state of the art bathroom with hydro-massage bath and bidet. Main villa from the living room-hall: the Bali Hai room with sea views and French doors to the outside, dressing area, king-size bed, ensuite bathroom with hand shower. Also from the hallway is a guest toilet with a clam shell sink. Another bedroom (next to kitchen) with separate beds and en suite shower, is suitable for children or a baby sitter. Three steps to the Dancing Terrace over the beach with room enough for a band. Ten steps lead to a court yard with the entrance to the wine cellar. Twelve more steps lead to the beach gate and the beach and sea.
The Bungalow (at additional cost if additional room is needed) is accessed from the beach and lower courtyard. It is decorated from mahogany wood and brass nautical motifs. Beach terrace seats four. Living room with two full size day beds, fresco wall with fishing boats in marina scenery. The in built kitchenette has a stove top, oven, fridge and dishwasher. One bedroom with large separate beds and a shower room with wc. Wall safe. An arched doorway leads to another larger bedroom with a king size bed and a third single. Divan bed can sleep another two. Ensuite shower room with wall safe.
Eight steps up from the garden lead through an arched entrance to the 'Flint Stone' suite, made of stone with green mosaic floors flecked with 24 kt gold. Steps down to a queen size bed. A half wall hides the sunken tub in the floor with hand shower. A separate arched way leads to the bidet and wc. Wall safe.
The Sailor Suite: From the garden through thick carved oak castle doors is a bedroom with a king size bed that opens onto a small terrace for two. Large white hand made Farnese floor tiles. A separate entrance leads to the roof terrace from a stone stairwell. Air conditioning and a palm tree reaching up through the ceiling. En suite spa bath and shower overlooking the pool and bay. WC. Frescoes of the villa. Wall safe. King Storks Suite: from the garden by the lawn and pool is this semi interred stone castle structure. Oriental motif decoration and Queen size bamboo bed. En suite all walls mirrored bathroom with spa and an aquarium in the ceiling, shower and wc. Wall safe. 'Under The Stars' suite: Juniper beamed corner fireplace, with king size bed opening onto panoramic terrace, bathroom has a domed ceiling with starry night lights and pebbled floor with sunk in bath and high wall shower with own sea views. Wall safe. Pool area: a shallow pool cascades into the main swimming pool. The area is equipped with bar, fridge, phone shower, wc and ice maker. The Neptune suite is accessed through a curving stone stairs to under the pool terrace and the room, with King sized bed, has a view to the crystal sea with a sunk in bath area looking right into the pool with large port hole windows. Private parking for eight cars, Laundry and second staff suite and shower room.
